Fitness Is Like Brushing Your Teeth

Do you brush your teeth daily to maintain the healthy teeth ?

If you answered yes to that, well then fitness is the same but for the heart. So how come most of us don't exercise daily to maintain a healthy heart ?

From a very young age, we've been told to brush our teeth. Actually from the moment we get teeth, we're being shown how to brush them. It's all done initially as a game, but it's done morning and evening generally.

True, as babies, we're generally quite active. We learn to crawl and to walk, and even encouraged to do so.

But as we grow older somehow things change. Why ?

If you think of fitness being the same as brushing your teeth, but for your heart, then maybe this might change your attitude to exercise.

Move daily by incorporating more exercise into your daily routine. Walk or cycle to work or the tube station, take the stairs, get of the tube/bus one stop earlier. Go for a walk at lunchtime. Whatever it is, more exercise will keep your heart healthy !
